Dave Perkins joined Orvis, the family business, in 1977 and has held numerous
positions in the company, from Fly Fishing Instructor to Wholesale Manager. He
currently oversees the Wholesale business, the Retail business (with 34 company
stores), the Fly-Fishing and Wingshooting Schools, Orvis Travel Service, Orvis
Endorsed Lodges, Orvis Sandanona shooting preserve, and Orvis Licensing.
An avid fly fisherman and wingshooter, Dave has traveled extensively to
pursue these interests. He sits on the boards of the Ruffed Grouse Society, the
Tall Timbers Research Station and the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation
Partnership. Dave is a graduate of Fort Lewis College in Colorado.
Dave lives in Manchester, Vermont with his wife, who is also an avid fly
fisher and wingshooter and recently finished a 27-year career with The Nature
Conservancy. He has two daughters and three hunting house dogs.
