Prior to the formation of
Orvis/Cushman & Wakefield Ranch and Recreational Properties, LLC, John
Watson served as President of Watson Land Company, a brokerage specializing in
high-value ranch and recreational properties throughout the Rocky Mountain region. He is a licensed real
estate broker in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho,
Montana, New
Mexico, Oregon, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia
and Wyoming.
John was a top-producing
commercial real estate broker during his 12 years in Los Angeles with Cushman
& Wakefield, Inc. and Cushman Realty Corporation. He began his business career in 1975 as a CPA
with Price Waterhouse & Co. in Honolulu, Hawaii.
He is a graduate of the University of Southern
California with a BS degree in Business
Administration.
John and his wife live on a ranch
in Colorado’s Wet Mountain Valley where they raised their three
children. He is an avid outdoorsman and
conservationist, and was instrumental in the formation of the San Isabel Land
Protection Trust, where he serves on the Advisory Board. He is also active as a
4H volunteer.
