Dude Tyler grew up ranching sheep and cattle on the Boulder River in Sweet Grass County, Montana. He attended school in Big Timber, Montana, and graduated from Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts with a BA degree in American History.
Complementing his eight years of professional real estate experience, Dude brings a passion for sustainable ranching practices and open space preservation. He is a founding member of Cottonwood Resource Council, Big Timber’s Northern Plains Resource Council Affiliate, and past President of the Board of Directors of the Montana Land Reliance. Dude has also been a licensed fishing outfitter for 20 years.
Until moving to Livingston, Montana, Dude served on the Sweet Grass County Planning Board. He now serves as Chair of the Livingston City Planning Board. He is President of the Board of Directors of Park County Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
Dude’s wife founded Corporation for the Northern Rockies, a sustainable development non-profit based in Livingston, and is CNR’s Executive Director. His daughter is a high school junior.
